The poem, which in most codices is inscribed Ἑρμοῦ τοῦ τρισμεγίστου περὶ σεισμῶν, ἐν ἄλλωι Ὀρφέως “On earthquakes by Hermes Trismegistos or by Orpheus, with the author’s name given in some either Orpheus or Hermes Trismegistos, was first published by Aldo in Florilegio with diverse epigrams in seven books a. 1503. The codices, which have preseved the poem, have been carefully described in Catalogus Codicum Astrologorum Graecorum, which it seems would be inconvenient to enumerate all here, compare Josef Heeg Die Angeblichen Orphischen Ἔργα καὶ Ἡμέραι p. 57. Of the most recent editions, these are the preferred: in Analecta veterum poetarum Graecorum ed. Richard François Philippe Brunck III 1776, 1 compare 237; Anthologia Graeca ed.
