133. Ἀπορίαι καὶ λύσεις περὶ τῶν πρώτων ἀρχῶν εἰς τὸν Πλάτωνος Παρμενίδην Δαμασκίου 284 (II 157, 12 Rue.):

ὁ μὲν γὰρ Ὀρφεὺς δοκεῖ μᾶλλον τῆν ἄχρι φυτῶν τε καὶ τῶν ἄλλων καρπῶν ὑποστρωννύναι φύσιν ὑπὸ τὴν Ῥέαν. εἰ μὴ ἄρα καὶ τὴν Γοργόνα νοοῖμεν ἄχρι τῶν λίθων αὐτῶν ἐκτείνουσαν τὴν ἑαυτῆς ζωιογονίαν.

“For indeed, Orphéfs (Ὀρφεὺς) seems to expand the generation (φύσιν) of plants and also other fruits through the power of Rǽa (Ῥέα). Unless perhaps we wish to presume that the Gorgon also extends the production of life (ζωιογονίαν) from herself even to the stones themselves .”
