“How Orphéfs (Ὀρφεύς), the son of Íagros (Οἴαγρος) and Kalliópî (Καλλιόπη), one of the Mousai (Μοῦσαι), was ruling over the Macedonians and the land of the Odrysians, and was dedicated to music and very much to singing while playing the kithára (κιθάρα); and in this (for the people of Thrace and Macedonia are lovers of music) he was especially pleasing to the multitude.”
