<Διὸς Σκορπίον περιπολεύοντος> [τὸ δὲ ἔτος, ὅπερ αὐτὸς κυριεύσει] σῖτος καὶ ἔλαιον γίνεται· τὰ δ’ ἄλλα πάντα οὔποτε θάλψουσι· δρύες καρποφορήσουσι· τοις ἀκάρποις <. . . . . .> βρώματα δοῦναι.

“When Jupiter crosses through Scorpio, [and the year, the very one ruling] (when) grain and olive-oil are produced; but all other (creatures) will never be in heat; the oaks will bear fruit; for those (years) without fruit <. . . . . .> offer food.”
