SUMMARY: This fragment is another excerpt from the Dodekaeteris.

Excerpt from the Δωδεκαετηρίς V (compare to Orphic Fragment 251):

“When Jupiter crosses through Cancer, in this year the four-footed animals will never be in heat; a five-month winter in length will hold sway; calamities and plague, a great number of four-footed animals perish; and Cancer swallows the year of Gemini.”
