SUMMARY: This testimony, from the Parian Chronicle, says that Eumolpus was the son of Musaeus, and that he celebrated the Mysteries in Eleusis.

<ἀφ’ οὗ Εὕμολπος ὁ Μουσαίου τοῦ ὑπ’ Ὀρφέως τετελεσμέ>νου (suppl. Diels) τὰ μυστήρια ἀνέφηνεν ἐν Ἐλευσῖνι καὶ τὰς τοῦ <πατρὸς Μ>ουσαίου ποιήσ<ει>ς ἐξέθηκ<εν, ἔτη ΧΗΔ βασιλεύοντος Ἀθηνῶν Ἐρεχθέ>ως τοῦ Πανδίονος.
