SUMMARY: This fragment is another excerpt from the Dodekaeteris.

Excerpt from the Δωδεκαετηρίς V (compare to Orphic Fragment 251):

“When Jupiter crosses through Virgo, the year initiates the production of plague, and especially of oxen; difficulties for men; you will seize food meant for animals; and with the thundering clouds, the seeds will burn completely; and the calamities of men, common to many, three upon two.”
