SUMMARY: Fragment 67 consists of three brief phrases, all having in common the word ὁμίχλην "mist."

67. (52) σχόλιον Πρόκλου επί Παρμενίδου Πλάτωνος 139 b VII p. 1175, 7 Cous.²:

ἀδιακρίτων πάντων ὄντων κατὰ σκοτόεσσαν ὁμίχλην, φησὶν ὁ θεολόγος

“all things being indistinguishable throughout the dark mist, says the Theologian.” (trans. by the author)

cf. Hieronymi Theogon. fr. 54. Huc etiam quadrat ἀζηχὲς σκότος (“unceasing darkness”) fr. 66.

Lob. I 474; Kern De Theogon. 10; Holwerda 307, qui coniungit cum fr. 71 a.

They imitate ὕμνος Ὀρφέως 6 Πρωτογόνου [v. fr. 87] (Πρωτογόνου) vs. 6:

ὄσσων ὃς σκοτόεσσαν ἀπημαύρωσας ὀμίχλην

“You dissipated the dark mist obscuring your eyes.” (trans. by the author)

and Ὀρφέως Ἀργοναυτικά 521:

ἐν δ' ἔπεσαν (sc. Δολιεῖς) Μινύηισι κατὰ σκοτόεσσαν ὀμίχλην.

“And (the Δολίονες) remained among the Minyans (Μινύες) in the dark mist” (trans. by the author)

This logo is the principal symbol of this website. It is called the CESS logo, i.e. the Children of the Earth and the Starry Sky. The Pætilía (Petelia, Πετηλία) and other golden tablets having this phrase are the inspiration for the symbol. The image represents this idea: Earth (divisible substance) and the Sky (continuous substance) are the two kozmogonic substances. The twelve stars represent the Natural Laws, the dominions of the Olympian Gods. In front of these symbols is the seven-stringed kithára (cithara, κιθάρα), the the lyre of Apóllôn (Apollo, Ἀπόλλων). It (here) represents the bond between Gods and mortals and is representative that we are the children of Orphéfs (Orpheus, Ὀρφεύς).
