SUMMARY: This fragment is another excerpt from the Dodekaeteris.

Excerpt from the Δωδεκαετηρίς V (compare to Orphic Fragment 251):

“When Jupiter crosses through Gemini, the year [where it will have dominion] may only produce grain; and the season will be dry and the seeds will be parched; the vine and the fig-tree will cling to the fruit.”

(trans. by the author)

Josef Heeg 27 fr. 4.
