Ἀπολλώνιος ὁ Ἀφροδισιεύς, about the third century before the Common Era. Σοῦδα:
Ἀπολλώνιος Ἀφροδισιεύς ἀρχιερεὺς καὶ ἱστορικὸς γέγραφε Καρικά, Περὶ Τράλλεων, Περί Ὀρφέως καὶ τῶν τελετῶν αὐτού.
“Apollóhnios (Ἀπολλώνιος) of Aphrodisiás (Ἀφροδισιάς), the high priest and historian who wrote On the Carians, On Trálleis (Τράλλεις = modern Aydin), and On Orphéfs (Ὀρφεύς) and his Mysteries.”
