Λόγος λθ΄ εἰς τα ἅγια Φῶτα Γρηγορίου Ναζιανζηνοὺ 39.680 (online as 39.5; Jacque Paul Migne Patrologia Graeca 36, 340 v. nr. 37):

οὐδὲ Θραικῶν ὄργια ταῦτα, παρ᾿ ὧν καὶ τὸ θρησκεύειν, ὡς λόγος· οὐδὲ Ὀρφέως τελεταὶ καὶ μυστήρια, ὃν τοσοῦτον Ἕλληνες ἐπὶ σοφίαι ἐθαύμασαν, ὥστε καὶ λύραν αὐτῶι ποιοῦσι, πάντα τοῖς κρούμασιν ἔλκουσαν.
