150. Ἀπορίαι καὶ λύσεις περὶ τῶν πρώτων ἀρχῶν εἰς τὸν Πλάτωνος Παρμενίδην Δαμασκίου 278 (II 150, 22 Rue.): 

τέταρτον καὶ δέκατον, αὐτὸ καθ’ αὑτὸ ζητήσωμεν διὰ τί ὁ μέν πρῶτος πατὴρ (sc. Phanes) καὶ ὁ τρίτος (sc. Iuppiter) οὐ παράγει Κουρητικὴν τάξιν παρὰ τοῖς Ἕλλησιν, μόνη δὲ ἡ Ῥέα τους Κούρητας ἀπογεννᾶι, οὓς ἀμειλίκτους (v. frr. 146. 151) εἶναί φαμεν· ὅλως δὲ διὰ τί αὐτῆι συντετάχθαι τρεῖς, ἑνὸς ὄντος αὐτῆς ἀμειλίκτου κατὰ τὴν θεοπαράδοτον φήμην.

“At the fourteenth, let’s investigate each alone by itself. Indeed, through who did the first father (Φάνης) and the third (Ζεύς) not introduce the Kourîtec (Κουρητικός) order with the Greeks? Yet by herself, Rǽa (Ῥέα) generated the Kourítæs (Κουρῆτες), who, we were saying, are implacable. Yet on the whole, through having organized the threes by herself, (she stands) in accordance with one, being herself implacable, (according to) an oracle delivered by the Gods.” (trans. by the author)

The logo to the left is the principal symbol of this website. It is called the CESS logo, i.e. the Children of the Earth and the Starry Sky. The Pætilía (Petelia, Πετηλία) and other golden tablets having this phrase are the inspiration for the symbol. The image represents this idea: Earth (divisible substance) and the Sky (continuous substance) are the two kozmogonic substances. The twelve stars represent the Natural Laws, the dominions of the Olympian Gods. In front of these symbols is the seven-stringed kithára (cithara, κιθάρα), the the lyre of Apóllôn (Apollo, Ἀπόλλων). It (here) represents the bond between Gods and mortals and is representative that we are the children of Orphéfs (Orpheus, Ὀρφεύς).
