101. (86) σχόλιον Πρόκλου επὶ Κρατύλου Πλάτωνος 396b (54, 21 Pasqu.):

ἦ ὅτι τῆς βασιλικῆς τῶν θεῶν σειρᾶς ἀρχομένης μὲν ἀπὸ Φάνητος, καταντώσης δ᾽ εἰς τὸν δεσπότην ἡμῶν τὸν Διόνυσον καὶ τὸ αὐτὸ σκῆπτρον ἄνωθεν ἄχρι τῆς ἐσχάτης βασιλείας προαγούσης, μόνος ὁ Κρόνος, τὴν τετάρτην βασιλικὴν τάξιν κληρωσάμενος, παρὰ πάντας τοὺς ἄλλους ὑβριστικῶς δοκεῖ κατὰ τὸ μυθικὸν πρόσχημα προσδέχεσθαι καὶ ἐκ τοῦ Οὐρανοῦ τὸ σκῆπτρον καὶ μεταδιδόναι τῷ Διί· καὶ γὰρ ἡ Νὺξ παρ᾽ ἑκόντος αὐτὸ λαμβάνει τοῦ Φάνητος·

σκῆπτρον δ' ἀριδείκετον εἷο χέρεσσιν θῆκε θεᾶς Νυκτὸς ἑκούσης ὑποδέχεται τὴν ἐπικράτειαν τῶν ὅλων.

“Wherefore the kingly lineage of Gods begins in truth from Phanes, coming down to our lord Dionysos, and advancing the same scepter from on high even to the furthermost dominion; only Kronos, allotted the fourth kingly rank, beside all the others (received it) in a wanton manner, as imagined in the mythic pretext, and (receives) from Ouranós the scepter and transmits to thus Zefs; for Nyx takes it of herself from Phánîs (who yields it) purposely.

The logo to the left is the principal symbol of this website. It is called the CESS logo, i.e. the Children of the Earth and the Starry Sky. The Pætilía (Petelia; Gr. Πετηλία) and other golden tablets having this phrase are the inspiration for the symbol. The image represents this idea: Earth (divisible substance) and the Sky (continuous substance) are the two kozmogonic substances. The twelve stars represent the Natural Laws, the dominions of the Olympian Gods. In front of these symbols is the seven-stringed kithára (cithara; Gr. κιθάρα), the the lyre of Apóllohn (Apollo; Gr. Ἀπόλλων). It (here) represents the bond between Gods and mortals and is representative that we are the children of Orphéfs (Orpheus; Gr. Ὀρφεύς).
